Adeleye Ayomide, accused of murdering and abducting Idowu Christiana, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB ) in Ogun State, is presently in the custody of the Lagos State Police Command.

On Thursday, the police acquired the 23-year-old from the Nigerian Army.

This was confirmed by the command’s PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, via his X handle.

Hundeyin wrote:

“23-year-old Ayomide Adeleye has been handed over to #LagosPoliceNG by 9 Brigade #HQNigerianArmy. The handover took place today, September 5, 2024, at about 1400hrs. Investigation is ongoing.”

Christiana was abducted on the Ikorodu-Yaba Road in Lagos State on Monday, August 19, 2024.

The abductors first sought N3 million as ransom before releasing the student.

However, after several requests, they took N350,000 but refused to release the abducted student.
