Nollywood star Lateef Adedimeji is full of pride as his wife, actress Mo Bimpe, achieves another remarkable milestone with her hit movie Iyawo Alhaji and its sequel, breaking YouTube viewership records.
Taking to Instagram, Lateef revealed that the sequel had garnered 4 million views in less than 13 days, while the original movie has amassed 5.5 million views in just 3 months.
Expressing his excitement, the actor wrote:
“Iyawo Alhaji continues to shatter records and I’m glad beyond words. Keep watching on MoBimpe TV. I love you all, my madam does too.”
Lateef and Mo Bimpe, often hailed as one of Nollywood’s power couples, have been making waves both individually and together. While Lateef has been dominating cinemas and streaming platforms, Mo Bimpe has been steadily building a strong presence on YouTube with blockbuster releases.
Earlier this year, when Lisabi bagged 10 AMVCA nominations, Mo Bimpe shared a heartfelt worship video with her husband and crew, thanking God and the AMVCA organizers for the recognition.
Last year, during the premiere of Lateef’s debut movie Lisabi, he credited Mo Bimpe for her unwavering support. The film later ranked among the top 10 most searched Nigerian movies in 2024, followed by the sequel achieving similar success.
Their mutual admiration has been evident over time—Mo Bimpe has openly expressed pride in Lateef’s growth and resilience in the industry, even celebrating him as her “Superhero” after he broke his leg filming Jagun Jagun.
