The Federal Government has sacked Capt Rabiu Yadudu, the Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria(FAAN). This followed the FG’s approval to appoint Kabir Mohammed, the current manager of Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, as the new FAAN Managing Director. He will start working next week.
Mohammed was also the North Central Region General Manager prior to being appointed as FAAN’s new Director.
He was appointed as the Chairman of the Aviation Roadmap Implementation Committee in January 2022 by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika. He effectively combined this position with his office as General Manager, Special Duties at FAAN.
The details of why Yadudu was removed are unknown at the time of this publication.
