Senegal national team coach Aliou Cisse has spoken on the future of Sadio Mane amid speculations he will join a Saudi Arabian club.
Speaking to 2stvsenegal, Cisse said:
I haven’t heard about approaches from Saudi — what’s certain is that he stays at Bayern. He signed for 3 years. He spent one year and still has two. So yes, for now he stays at Bayern.”
Mane left Liverpool for Bayern last summer and had a troubling campaign, struggling for form. He ended up getting suspended by the club in April after a bust-up with Leroy Sane.
Several reports have it that Mane is not even engaging with proposed talks and has no ambition to move to Saudi Arabia at this time.
Bayern are hoping to bolster their attacking options for the 2023/24 season and see Mane as a potential boost due to his proficiency on the left side of the pitch, in his preferred position. Financially, this transfer could bring significant benefits to the club.
He must battle for his play with Leroy Sane on the left attack wing. Time will tell if Tuchel will use Mane and sign Harry Kane as the media eagerly anticipates a Sane, Mane, Kane forward line.
