In a recent development, Davido, the Afrobeat superstar known for hits like “Feel,” took to social media to address rumors of his arrest, clarifying that the reports were entirely false.

Through his Instagram story, Davido debunked the allegations, asserting that he had never been arrested, neither in Nigeria nor anywhere else in the world. In his statement, Davido thanked his fans for their unwavering support and assured them that he had completed his scheduled shows in Uganda and Kenya before returning home to Nigeria. He reiterated that he had never faced arrest in any country, emphasizing the seriousness of the false reports.

Here’s an excerpt from Davido’s statement:

Fam, it has come to my attention that false reports regarding an arrest circulated online on April 1st, which has since led to a barrage of calls. I want to assure my fans that these reports are entirely untrue. I successfully completed my scheduled shows in Uganda and Kenya and have since returned home to Nigeria. I’d also like to note that I have never been arrested by anyone in any country for any crime in the world.”

He signed off the statement with gratitude for his supporters and emphasized that their blessings came from God.
