Through his foundation, Davido recently announced the disbursement of a staggering N237 million to 424 orphanages, benefiting a total of 13,811 underprivileged youngsters.
Taking to his Instagram page on July 20, Davido expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to utilize his platform for the greater good. He shared that the tradition of donating to orphanages during his birthday had started a few years ago, and this year’s contribution has reached new heights, thanks to the generosity of his supporters.
I’ve always wanted to use my platform to serve others. Thankful that through your generosity, I’ve been able to do so. We recently disbursed over N200m to several orphanages in Nigeria,” Davido stated. He further emphasized that this philanthropic endeavour exemplified his belief in rising by lifting others, transforming his words into meaningful action.
The N237 million disbursement will undoubtedly go a long way in improving the lives of countless children and inspiring hope for a brighter future.
