The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared two additional suspects wanted in connection with the alleged cryptocurrency fraud tied to the defunct Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
The suspects, identified as Folashade Odelana, aged 31, and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun, aged 32, are accused of engaging in fraudulent activities through the CBEX platform, which left thousands of investors with substantial financial losses.
In a notice issued by the commission, the last known address of the suspects was listed as No. 17, Oremeta Street, Allen, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The EFCC has called on members of the public with any useful information regarding their whereabouts to report to any of the agency’s zonal offices located in Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja. Tips can also be submitted through official helplines, email, or at any nearby police station or security agency.
This latest development brings the total number of persons declared wanted in the CBEX case to twelve. The CBEX platform, once used by over 600,000 Nigerians, reportedly collapsed in April 2025, leaving investors unable to access their funds. The losses have been estimated at more than ₦1.3 trillion, causing widespread public outrage and calls for government action.
Previously, eight other individuals were declared wanted, and arrest warrants have already been issued for six suspects, including Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Seyi Oloyede, Avwerosuo Otorudo, and Chukwuebuka Ehirim.
EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has reiterated the agency’s determination to bring all suspects to justice. He emphasised that recovery efforts are ongoing and that the commission remains focused on securing compensation for victims of the alleged scam.
