Bimbo Ademoye, a well-known Nollywood actress, recently shared her thoughts on the recently released Nollywood movie “Gangs of Lagos“. She emphasized her joy upon receiving the screenplay for the movie. She had previously worked with the producer on the movie “Sugar Rush,” which she felt to be a beautiful experience.
Because she believed the movie would be amazing, she postponed reading the screenplay.
But when Bimbo Ademoye finally read the script, she discovered that she had been cast as Teni. This was a part she had not anticipated. As she could so easily identify with the character Gift, Bimbo first thought she would play that role. She double-checked the cast members’ names to be sure there wasn’t a mistake.
She made a couple more calls to confirm the casting, but each time she did, she was assured that it was correct. The producers informed her that although fans had expected her to play a role akin to Gift, they had instead cast her in a different one. Ademoye accepted the challenge and did her best to embody Teni as a result.
