A member representing Yagba at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Jimoh Omiata is dead. Jimoh Omiata Igbagun of the Yagba Local Government of the State. He is from the community and in the State Council he has served two terms. And he is the first person to be elected twice from the House of Councilors constituency in an election to the House of Representatives.
He was said to have died in the early hours of Monday at a Lagos hospital where he had been recuperating from an undisclosed ailment.
Kogi Provincial Assembly Speaker Femi Orgbemi, Chief Press Secretary, wrote on his verified Facebook page “very sad, we lost a vibrant, articulate and outstanding lawmaker, Hon. Musa Jimoh Omiata, I sympathise with his immediate family, traditional rulers and people of Yagba East State Constituency, may Allah grant his soul perfect rest.”
