Mr Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), believes Nigerians are pleased and delighted with President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Wike, on Wednesday, revealed this during an inspection visit of current road building projects in the capital city.
According to him, the FCT Administration’s investment in road infrastructure will enhance economic activity in Abuja.
The minister visited the Outer Southern Motorway, which ran from A. A Rano behind the mansion via Deeper Life Junction, SARS, Apo roundabout, and Wasa District.
The road is being built by China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC) Nigeria Limited.
Wike also toured the Gilmor Construction firm’s Northern N-20 Motorway in Jahi District.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the minister examined highways B12, B6, and Circle Road in the Central Area of Abuja, as well as the Southern Parkway, on Tuesday.
He added that once completed, the roads would increase economic activity in the FCT.
The minister said:
“This is what the people want. It is not theory; it is practical. let them see the action. They have lost hope, but hope is coming back through the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
“When I came on board, these roads were abandoned and I had to invite the contractors, and then we sat down and agreed on the way to fund the projects.
“The contractors have assured us that these roads will be completed on time.
“I am pleased that the people are happy as they are satisfied with what President Tinubu’s administration is doing.
“It is not magic; it is a matter of commitment to satisfy our people. When you do the right thing, the people will jubilate.”
