The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has urged Sango-Ota consumers in Ogun State to pay their bills so that they can provide quality services.
Mrs Busolami Tunwase, Lead Media Relations, IBEDC, made the appeal on Monday in Ota, Ogun State.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Tunwase stated at a stakeholders meeting on October 11 in Joju, Ota, that the Sango/Ota district business owed the firm N28 billion.
She said:
“We are still appealing to our esteemed customers to urgently pay their bills because what we have gotten is not much compared to what is still out there.”
She stated that consumers should pay their bills in order for the corporation to offer the public with an enhanced and consistent electricity supply.
Tunwase cautioned the public not to assault IBEDC employees while they were performing their responsibilities, or they would face the wrath of the law.
