The Rivers State House of Assembly has rescreened and approved all nine former commissioners who resigned from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet in the aftermath of the state’s political turmoil.
The commissioners resigned in November of last year, after a spat between Fubara and his predecessor, former Governor Nyesom Wike, who is now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
However, Fubara resubmitted the nine nominees’ names to the State House of Assembly for approval a few days ago.
During plenary on Wednesday, the former commissioners were instructed to take ‘a bow and go’.
