Edozie Njoku, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has advised Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State that he cannot impose himself on the party.
This comes while the party is dealing with a leadership crisis.
Njoku, appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today, stated that Soludo is not larger than the party and must kneel for victory.
He said:
“I have stooped a lot, I have gone to him (Gov Soludo), I have had meetings with him. The important thing is doing the right thing at all times and not thinking you can impose yourself on the party.
“We are the party and the party is supreme.”
The APGA National Chairman also denied rumours that he intended to derail the governor’s second-term ambitions in 2025.
Njoku stated that the conflict between him and Soludo may have an impact on the party’s chances in Anambra State’s governorship race next year, but that he had no ill will toward the governor.
“I am too big for what you are saying. Why should I have anything against Soludo? The only thing Soludo doesn’t like is that I am a man who has my mind,” Njoku added.
