In light of the increased level of insecurity now plaguing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister Nyesom Wike has called an emergency security meeting.
Speaking at an event, Wike revealed this while assuring the people of the Federal Capital Territory of their safety.
According to him, efforts were underway to provide security personnel with all the resources they require to combat insecurity in the FCT.
Chiefs of the Federal Capital Territory’s security services, senior representatives of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), chairmen of councils, and traditional leaders are among those present.
Wike cautioned the heads of the municipal councils to remember their local responsibilities.
Bandits have ravaged various areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in recent weeks, kidnapping residents from their houses.
The tensions heightened when some people, including a 13-year-old Secondary School student, were slain for failing to meet the ransom payment deadline.
