In the interview, she expressed openness to being a second wife, considering her status as a single mother. However, various misleading captions on Facebook prompted Wumi to set the record straight.
Sharing a screenshot of one such false article, Wumi expressed her frustration with the misinformation on Facebook. Despite the misconceptions, she asserted that sensible people don’t require an explanation, and she won’t be addressing the misleading narratives.
This clarification comes in the wake of a trend where celebrities find it necessary to correct false information propagated through social media platforms.
In a related incident, actor Adeniyi Johnson also refuted reports about having a teenage child. He clarified that the mentioned individual is his goddaughter in the Yoruba film industry.
Earlier this year, Wumi Toriola publicly confirmed the end of her marriage, citing domestic violence and abuse as the reasons for her decision. Her ex-husband responded with contrasting claims, alleging violence, deceit, and betrayal on Wumi’s part.
