President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for the capital of Borno State, Maiduguri.
The President departed from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja early today.
The flight left at 10:35 a.m.
Tinubu’s first trip to the country’s northeast since gaining government.
As the Special Guest of Honour, he is due to attend the Nigerian Army Annual Conference.
According to NTA, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, has revealed the arrangements of the inauguration ceremony.
The occasion will involve an address to the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, a visit of the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri, and the laying of the foundation stone for Headquarters 7 Division.
The Special Guest of Honour will be in charge of these events.
