President Bola Tinubu swore in eight new Permanent Secretaries on Monday, whose nominations he confirmed last Friday after being cleared the Federal Civil Service selection process.

Tinubu swore in the newly appointed officers shortly before the start of this week’s Federal Executive Council meeting, which he is now presiding over.

Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Adeoye Ayodeji, Rimi Abba, Bako Odoh, Omachi Omenka, Ahmed Umar, Watti Tinuke, and Ella Agbo are the new Permanent Secretaries.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu is presiding over the FEC meeting, which Vice President Kashim Shettima is attended.

Also present are the Federation’s Secretary to the Government, George Akume; the Federation’s Head of Civil Service, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan; and the President’s Chief of Staff, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

All ministers and several other top presidential advisers who were previously authorised to attend FEC sessions are expected to attend Monday’s meeting.
