How to Be Productive When You’re Feeling Lazy.

You’re feeling lazy. We get it. Maybe you had a long week at work, or you’re just not feeling motivated today. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get things done – you just have to be a little more creative about it. Sometimes, it can be quite difficult to gather the energy to be productive when you’re feeling lazy. You might be feeling demotivated, a bit down or just mentally drained/tired. We hope that these can help you out.

Here are five ways to be productive when you’re feeling lazy:
  1. Set smaller goals for yourself. Instead of trying to tackle your entire to-do list, start by focusing on one or two tasks. Once you’ve completed those, move on to the next ones.
  2. Break down those bigger tasks into smaller steps. This will make them seem less daunting, and you’ll be more likely to finish them.
  3. Delegate some of your work to others. There’s no shame in asking for help – in fact, it can often make things go faster.
  4. Set a timer for yourself and work until the timer goes off. This will help you stay focused and motivated.
  5. Take a break! Even if you only have 10 or 15 minutes, use that time to take a quick walk, watch a couple of minutes of your favourite show, or eat something healthy.
Define Your Priorities.

The first step is to define your priorities. What’s the one task that’s most important to you right now?

Once you know what your priorities are, you can start figuring out ways to make them happen. Maybe that means setting a timer and forcing yourself to work for a set amount of time, or breaking the task into smaller parts so it’s not as overwhelming.

Whatever it takes, just remember – being productive doesn’t have to mean being busy.

Set Smaller Goals.

Instead of trying to do everything at once, break your work down into smaller tasks that you can complete easily. This will make it seem less daunting, and you’ll be more likely to finish it.

Take Short Breaks.

When you’re feeling lazy, the last thing you want to do is try to be productive. But believe it or not, with a few simple tricks, you can actually get a lot done without breaking a sweat.

For example, take short breaks every hour or so to give your brain a little rest. And if you find yourself losing focus, take a quick walk around the block or drink some water to help re-energize yourself.

Finally, try not to put too much pressure on yourself. Chasing after productivity can be exhausting, and sometimes it’s okay to just relax and take it easy.

Find Your Motivation.

First, find your motivation. What’s the best way to do this? Well, that depends on you. Some people may find inspiration in their passion, while others may find it by setting goals and working towards them. Whatever works for you, just make sure you find it and harness it!

Second, try working for short intervals with breaks in between. This has been shown to improve productivity in the long run. So set a timer for 52 minutes and get to work! When the timer goes off, take a five-minute break to recharge. And then start the timer again.

Finally, remember to disconnect from work during your break. This means no checking emails or answering phone calls. Instead, use this time to relax and rejuvenate so you can come back fresh and motivated!

Avoid Distractions.

To be productive, you need to find ways to trick yourself into doing things you don’t want to do. For instance, try avoiding distractions by working in a quiet place where no one can bother you. And make sure the work you’re doing is meaningful – something you’re actually interested in.

Once you’ve got that down, start getting rid of old habits that are holding you back. Maybe that means taking breaks more often, or maybe it means finally investing in a gym membership. Whatever it is, make sure your productivity goals are achievable and realistic, so you don’t get overwhelmed and end up right back where you started.

Feeling lazy is perfectly natural, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be productive.
