The grieving mother of the late musician Mohbad has made a heartfelt appeal for assistance, revealing that the artist’s father has refused to bury him.
In an emotional plea delivered in her native dialect, she disclosed the challenges she faced in attempting to lay her son to rest.
According to Mohbad’s mother, after the police conducted an autopsy on the singer, the corpse was released for burial. However, the singer’s father reportedly resisted the burial, causing distress to the family. The mother sought intervention from the commissioner of police, only to face insults and accusations that the family was pleased with the singer’s death.
Expressing her anguish, Mohbad’s mother implored Nigerians for support in facilitating the burial of her son. She emphasized that the refusal to bury Mohbad was causing unrest and suffering to both the deceased and the family. She also lamented the challenges of dealing with the commissioner’s accusations and called on true mothers and Nigerians to come to her aid.
The distraught mother clarified that her plea was not for financial assistance but a heartfelt request to bury her son with dignity. She expressed concern that some individuals might exploit her son’s death for financial gain, and she urged the youth and Mohbad’s friends to join her in ensuring a peaceful burial for the late singer.
